I had a wonderful experience of visiting a trade fair in Russia with my friends from DoTexTile. We were so thrilled to introduce our finest materials from China to the people in Russia. I have learned so much about different cultures and how people do business and this is all going to be shared with you!
At the fair, we wanted to sniff how can our Chinese fabrics fit what the Russians want.
And we were interested to find out what they were looking for in fabrics and textiles. We had a really interesting time exploring how our Pongee Fabric could meet the needs of the Russian market and formed great links with future partners.
The second part also belonged to our time at the trade fair of connecting the Chinese textile industry with the Russian manufacturers. We wanted them to know that DoTexTile is a good partner and can provide the best fabrics at good prices. This formed links to collaborate and succeed with in the future respectively.
One of the big highlights for us at the tradeshow was showcasing the quality and variety of Chinese fabrics.
We had a lovely booth with samples of our fabrics on show, and received a lot of positive feedback. They were surprised with the quality and variety of Taslon Fabric we had and several wished to collaborate with us next time.
We had a lot of learnings in understanding culture to do business partnerships.
We also learned that it was necessary to adapt to how the people we met do business and communicate in China and Russia, and we invested significant effort to find common ground and foster robust personal connections. In order to move forward and to be successful in our own individual ministries we needed to strike out in a new direction with more of an open mind and treat each other with more respect.
One of the things we learned which we are utilising in future collaborations is using the connections we made at the trade fair.
We have met many precious people there and found out much of what the Russian market needs. We may be able to leverage these connections and insights to form a new partnership and foster our development in Russia.
All in all, a great trade fair experience in Russia. We were also able to present the best of DoTexTile Oxford Fabric for those in Russia, and good partnerships and acquaintances were established along the way. The future is exciting enough with these prospects and I am really grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a successful trade fair experience!
