Red Ribbing Primer

This is probably the first step you must do before making any red ribbing project. You need to make sure that the piece is long enough To wrap around your garment, plus have some length for stretching. Cutting out your red ribbingOnce you have cut the elastic to size, attach it to the garment. One easy way is to pin your ribbing along the edge of your fabric, easing it as you go. Secure it by sewing with a zigzag or stretch stitch of your choice and matching thread (I used grey just to make sure you could see what I was doing, but ideally these stitches should be in the ribbing color for an invisible finish.)
